A Week of Herbal Learning to Rebuild Oshala Farm
For 13 years, Oshala Farm has been growing Regenerative Organic herbs for people to learn, connect, and remember what it means to be in relationship with the land.
After the devastating fire that swept through the farm, our herbal community is coming together in the way we know best; through education, generosity, and plants.
Join beloved Herb Camp teachers for four days of inspiring virtual classes exploring herbal medicine, botanical traditions, medicine making, ethical wildcrafting, ancestral plant wisdom, and more.
This week is an opportunity to learn from incredible teachers while helping Oshala grow again.
Oshala Farm has almost raised $300K, and we are determined to help them reach their goal, and beyond, to rebuild the barns.
We suggest donating $75-$250 per day for classes.
(If you have already donated, you are welcome to join the classes - the link is sent out via GoFundMe Updates)
100% of proceeds will go toward rebuilding Oshala Farm.

Wherever we live, we share our landscapes with both native plants and those that have arrived over time. Non-native plants often carry heavy labels: "naturalized," "weed," or "invasive." These categories can echo the ways systems of power-over classify and exclude people, shaping ideas of belonging while reinforcing hierarchies that support extraction and control. Yet evolution, for humans and more-than-human beings alike, is a story of migration. No species survives without movement. To criminalize immigrants, plant or otherwise, is to question a fundamental aspect of life's resilience.
In this class, we'll explore the ecology, history, and medicinal qualities of plants commonly labeled as weeds or invasives. Together, we'll examine how these plants interact with the ecosystems they inhabit, consider the complexity behind the labels we assign them, and reflect on the cultural and ecological lessons they may offer. Participants will be encouraged to observe and engage with the plants growing in their own communities, bringing a diversity of landscapes and experiences into our shared conversation.

It is easy to lean upon herbal traditions that are not our own — but what happens when our ancestral stories of healing were never written down, erased, or silenced? How do we reconnect with the plants, practices, and wisdom that live in our own bloodlines? This deeply reflective and experiential class invites participants to explore their personal ancestral relationships to healing and plants. Through guided meditation, we will connect with ancestors, guides, and herbal allies to uncover threads of lineage-based wisdom that may be remembered, imagined, or intuitively received.
